1. Poco C3 Launched In India.
Poco C3 has been launched in India today through a virtual event. The smartphone is a slightly tweaked version of the Redmi 9C that was launched in Malaysia back in June.
The Poco C3 runs on MIUI 12 for Poco, based on Android 10. It features a 6.53″ HD+ (720 x 1600) display. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core processor, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage.
Poco C3 features a triple camera setup at the back that includes a 13MP main camera, a 2MP secondary camera with a macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, the waterdrop-style notch houses a 5MP selfie camera. The phone also packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging and the is P2i-rated for splash-resistance.
The Poco C3 is priced at Rs. 7,499 for the base 3GB + 32GB storage variant and Rs. 8,999 for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant. Poco is calling this pricing an introductory offer, so it is possible that the price of the smartphone can increase. The phone comes in Arctic Blue, Lime Green, Matte Black color options. The Poco C3 will go on sale via Flipkart starting October 16.
2. NVIDIA Announces Ampere-based RTX A6000 & A40 Video Cards For Pro Visualization.
Nvidia announced two new graphics cards today in their Nvidia GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2020 event and will continue through October 9.
The new cards are the NVIDIA RTX A6000 and NVIDIA A40, based on their new Ampere technology just like the gaming GeForce RTX 3000 series cards. The A6000 will be NVIDIA’s flagship professional graphics card with top-of-the-line performance. Basically, these new cards are the successor of Nvidia’s Quadro series of graphics cards, but they are now calling it with a different name.
The Nvidia RTX A6000 is said to deliver 2x to 6x performance gains over the previous generation. Both the RTX A6000 and A40 claim up to 2x the throughput with second-generation RT Cores, up to 5x the throughput with third-generation Tensor Cores, and have 48GB of GPU memory. The RTX A6000 is set to ship at the end of this year in December.
3. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G Launched In India.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G variant has been officially launched in India. Jumping right into the specifications, the Samsung S20 FE features a 6.5″ FHD+ (1080 x 2400) Super AMOLED Display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Exynos 990 octa-core processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The phone features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 12MP primary sensor which is Optically stabilized (OIS), a 12MP secondary sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto camera. The phone also features a 32MP selfie camera at the front. The phone comes with a 4500mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is priced at Rs. 49,999 for the single 8GB/128GB variant. The phone comes in five color options – Cloud Red, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, and Cloud White. The pre-orders for the phone start on October 9 and will go on sale through Amazon, Samsung India online store, and select offline retailers starting October 16.
4. Sennheiser HD250BT And CX120BT Wireless Headphones Launched in India.
Sennheiser HD250BT and CX120BT wireless Bluetooth headphones have been launched in India.
The Sennheiser HD 250BT comes with a closed-back design and on-ear style headphones. The headphones use Bluetooth 5 for connectivity, and support SBC, AAC, and aptX Bluetooth codecs. The headphones also support aptX Low Latency for reduced delay while watching videos and gaming.
The headphones can be paired up with the Sennheiser Smart Control App which can be used to customize the sound output from the headphones. The app comes with a built-in equalizer and helps install firmware updates. Sennheiser claims that the headphones can offer a battery life of up to 25 hours on a single charge.
The Sennheiser HD 250BT headphones are priced at Rs. 5,490 and are available for purchase through Sennheiser’s official Indian web-store and through other e-commerce platforms and leading electronics retailers across the country.
Sennheiser CX120BT are a neckband-styled wireless earphones and are a more budget friendly wireless earphones from the company. The earphones support Bluetooth 4.1 for connectivity along with SBC and aptX Bluetooth codecs.
The earphones also support aptX low latency codec just like their headphones which is good for gaming and multimedia streaming. The earphones can also be connected with up to two devices at once.
The Sennhieser CX 120BT also comes with an intuitive three-button remote to play/pause/skip tracks or to manage calls. According to the company, the device recharges fully in 1.5 hours and can offer six hours of playback on a single charge.

5. Fossil Gen 5E Smartwatch Launched.
Fossil Gen 5E smartwatch models have been launched and come as slightly toned-down versions of the Fossil Gen 5 smartwatch models. The Fossil Gen 5E runs on Wear OS by Google. All the models carry the same specifications with different sizes and color options.
The smartwatch is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It also features a 1.19″ (390 x 390) AMOLED display. Fossil claims that the smartwatch has a battery life of more than 24 hours in Extended Mode and it can be charged to 80% in 50 minutes.
For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, GPS, LTE, and Wi-Fi. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, gyroscope, off-body IR, and PPG heart rate sensor.
The Gen 5E Smartwatch Black Silicone, Gen 5E Smartwatch Brown Leather, and Gen 5E Smartwatch Black Stainless Steel are offered in 44mm size and stainless steel body. The remaining four options come in 42mm size and stainless steel body.
Fossil Gen 5E Smartwatch Black Silicone comes with 5ATM water resistance whereas the Gen 5E Smartwatch Brown Leather and Gen 5E Smartwatch Black Stainless Steel come with 3ATM water resistance. All four options designed for women come with 5ATM water resistance.
All the Fossil Gen 5E models start at $249 (approximately Rs. 18,275). The smartwatch is currently up for pre-orders and will start shipping in the US starting November 3.
